The service seats 400 attendees and is accompanied by a Catafalque Party, Band, Choir, VIPs and a distinguished Key Note Speaker.

A segment of wreath laying is undertaken and all members of the community are invited to participate.   On completion members and guests are invited back to the club house for refreshments.  Medals are encouraged to be worn.

Details of the event are updated on the What's On Page including details of ordering and laying of wreaths.

On ANZAC Day the Sub-Branch and the Black Rock Sports Club jointly run a short ANZAC Service and traditional Family gathering that takes place at 8 Fern Street, Black Rock. Remembrance Day

The Service is held on the 11th of November no matter the day of week at the Beaumaris Memorial Community Forecourt and Cenotaph, located at 96 Reserve Road, Beaumaris. (behind the library)

The local Beaumaris Secondary College selects a student to be the annual Key Note speaker before the ODE and Last Post.  A morning tea is provided on the conclusion of the event in the adjacent Senior Citizens Centre.

The Sub-Branch is very active each year undertaking fundraising for the Poppy and ANZAC Day Appeals.  Activities including preparing trays for volunteers, distribution to schools and workplaces and manning stalls in shopping centres.

The appeals are a very enjoyable voluntary activity that  the whole membership gets involved with in some way. For further information email Carolyn Strong [email protected]  or Rhonda Corfield [email protected]
